Bomb threat the morning of the shooting

There are several people who reported a bomb threat having been called into the school the morning of the shooting.

I spoke with Detective John Healy on the phone just a few years after the shooting and he told me personally that the morning of the shooting, someone called Columbine High School and when a secretary answered, the caller said, "this is Eric Harris, there's a bomb in the building."

Healy said he was the one who comforted the secretary, who was extremely traumatized after receiving this call. Many people have wondered why her interview summary isn't in the released documents, as if that indicates the story is false. The reality is we are missing quite a lot of interviews and excessive amounts of documents have never been released.

However, there is an item in the evidence log that could be a recording of the bomb threat call.

"Cassette tape of phone call concerning bombing." (Evidence, item #10224, computerized evidence log)
